CHESS CLUB

 

Welcome to the Chess Club! Let's play games on Sundays and learn and practice the following:

• Basic piece movement and board coordinate system

• Opening (avoiding traps and developing pieces)

• Middlegame (coming up with plans and spotting tactics)

• Endgame Theory (conclusions when few pieces remain) 

• Clock Management (strategies to play with less time)

• Games and Analysis (games played and analyzed daily)

Classes will begin with a 20-25 minute lesson followed by chess games against both the instructor and peers. (Limit: 4)

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
